Tasks

The ‘Tasks’ module is the Polaris Mail equivalent of a to-do list. Except it has far more features and useful tools than a piece of paper tacked an office wall. With the Tasks module you can:
Create a tasklist

You can add tasks to your tasklist (same thing as a to-do list) by clicking the ‘Add’ button at the top left. In the Task dialog box that opens, you will be able to define a task by filling in its subject, start and end times, and description etc. Once you are done creating a task, it will appear in your tasklist in the main window where you can have all your tasks listed according to their due dates. You can easily create multiple tasklists and task categories by clicking the ‘Administration’ button.
Choose recurrence

When you switch to the ‘Recurrence’ tab in the ‘Task’ dialog box, you can make a task recurrent by adding ‘Repeat’ values. So for instance, if you have to pick your daughter from a music class every Wednesday, you can set it up in the Recurrence pane and the task would be automatically created in your tasklist for all the subsequent Wednesdays.
Set up reminders

Worried that you might forget what time you need to pick up your daughter from her class? The third tab in the ‘Task’ dialog box- ‘Options’- lets you set up a reminder by specifying the date and time.
View tasks by status or category

Export TaskList

Want to turn your tasklist into a PDF file so that you can print it out? No problem. Click on the ‘Export’ button at the top to export your tasklist as PDF, a separate file (to screen) or the CSV format.
